Panther Creek Invitational

Panther Creek's band hosts the Panther Creek Invitational next Saturday — a full day of marching bands from across the region at Panther Creek High School, 6770 McCrimmon Parkway in Cary. Tickets are at the gate only, no presale: $15 for ages 10 and up, $5 for ages 4–10, free under 4; cash and cards. Every dollar goes back to the band — the show design, the instructors, the buses, the entry fees, the uniforms. Marching bands compete all fall and almost nobody covers it. This one is in our backyard, and it's the Catamounts' home show. Performance times: pcinvitational.org.

Malique Booker
Edited by Malique Booker. Most of these games are played in front of a few hundred people. The scores exist if you go hunting for them — a team page here, a database there — but nobody puts the whole county in one place and hands it to you on a Saturday morning. That's the whole reason the Wrap exists: every Wake County final, every Saturday of the season, free. Got a score wrong, or your school missing? Reply to this email — I read every one and fix it the same day. (By day I'm a real estate agent here in Raleigh.)
